The dissertation on the example of Croatian literary and film production in the post-Yugoslav period questions some of the general points of contemporary theoretical thought. The experience of immediate reality over the past thirty years has shown us the weak validity and applicability of several generally accepted postmodernist theoretical concepts. At a time when there has long been talked of the disappearance of the great „metanarratives“ (Lyotard), „the end of history“ (Fukuyama) and „wars that did not take place“ (Baudrillard), Yugoslav culture faced destruction and instrumentalization whose consequences we still feel today. Specifically, culture is the filter through which we perceive and interpret reality, and this thesis aims to present its changes in the period from the acquisition of nominal independence of the Republic of Croatia until today. The paper examines one of the fragments of the creative heritage of the famous German architect Hans Poelzig: his competition project of the State Ukrainian Theatre of Mass Musical Action for 4000 seats for Kharkiv. The project is viewed through the prism of little-known competitive events of 1930, which makes it possible to decipher its architectural, compositional, urbanistic and functional ideas, to reveal its symbolism. The study is based on the architect's original drawings preserved in the archive, primary sources of the early 1930s, biographical and critical works of other authors dedicated to the nominees of the Kharkiv competition, as well as on a comparative and meaningful analysis of architectural graphics and textual documentation.

Svojim monumentalnim filmskim delima poput Poslednji tango u Parizu, 1900.(Dvadeseti vek), Poslednji kineski car ili pak Sanjari za života je postao kultni filmski režiser koji je ušao u legendu-pre svega svojim jedinstvenim stilom i beskompromisnošću, poetičnošću na granici provokacije, granici njegovih seksualnih i političkih snova koji nikog nisu ostavljali ravnodušnim. Posedovao je jedinstvenu, provokativnu veštinu stavljanja ljudske duše pod mikroskop. Psihoanaliza je igrala veliku u ulogu u njegovim filmovima, kao i u onim Woodyja Allena (ali sa nekom drugom vrstom senzibiliteta, ironije, analize i otklona u odnosu na konformizam zadatog im sveta unutar kojeg su morali živeti, stvarati i pružati otpor klišeima i licemerju društva)... Marlon Brando je tvrdio kako mu je Bertolucci na setu Posljednjeg tanga u Parizu pričao o psihoanalizi, što mu je pomoglo u njegovoj glumačkoj izvedbi, koju mnogi smatraju njegovom najboljom. Bertolucci je bio poznat po velikom broju psihijatara koji su ga pratili svugde, čak interpretirali njegove snove, kao predmet disertacija i istraživanja kreativnog umetnika. Njegov interes za razumevanje ljudskog stanja doveo je do mnogih eksplicitnih scena u njegovim filmovima. Ne odričem se ni seksualnih ni političkih snova. Oni su postojali i ranije a ja sam ih na svoj način istraživao... Filmove pravim da bih rešio svoje unutrašnje konflikte.

The article explores the ontic discourse of the historical “music genre” category in the context of art music composition and theoretical epistemology of the late twentieth through the twenty-first century. The author’s intention to cover the most important theoretical interpretations
of the tradition of typology and taxonomy of art music has transformed into an authorial theoretical model of the music genotype, which is
exhibited in this research through the most important aspects. ! The principal position of the author is the methodological approach of the
General Systems Theory (GST) theoretical paradigm, which contributed to the substantiation of both the conception of the music genotype
(the author’s concept) itself and the state of the “chromatic” intersystemic change in the (macro)systems of music genotypes.

The paper is an overview of the planning framework for the location of the Sava Amphitheater, a view of individual designs dealing with this location and the study of design competition winners from 1985 and 1991, as well as an overview of visions for the development of the location, which were proposed by the students of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. War remembrance and traumatic experiences of the violent pastby losing family members, witnessing atrocities, being displaced from homes etc., plays crucial role in the aftermath process of peace-building. They shape significantly socio-political developments and ethnic relations in the post-war societies.1 The collective memory, among other purposes, has also function of commemoration -to honour and mourn the victimsand to provide lessons about the past for the present and coming generations. In the post-war and deeply divided societies, war remembrance and commemoration are not only reminders of the past, or sites of memory; they become also the means of identity formation.2 Furthermore, memory of war shape present and future relations between former conflicting parties, whereby contested memories may hinder constructive dealing with the past, transitional justice and therefore consolidating of a common polity.3

After more then 30 years of their activity, the group ŠKART has become the longest lasting artistic group in Serbia. What makes this simple fact somewhat peculiar is that the very activity and the very name of the group have not aimed at achieving something fixed and durable. During these 30 years the label ŠKART was put on a series of seemingly ephemeral and transient activities at the crossover between the poetical and the political, between the artistic transformation and social intervention.

In this paper, the position of senior female scholars in Serbia is examined. Our goal is to provide an overview of the challenges and differences female scholars are facing on the one hand, while on the other we examine the framework regulating their labour and the possibilities for its improvements in the direction of providing gender neutrality. The analysis is situated in the academic field of studies of higher education (HE) combined with higher education policies and research & development policies analysis. Firstly, the overview of the problem of women’s access to the academic sector has been presented from a historical perspective and perspective of existing research approaches to the problem. Afterwards, we examine the challenges women are facing within the ongoing globalisation trends, the strategic acting from a side of international organistions on the global and European levels, and the local reflection of these developments. Finally, we are proposing a novel approach to the research of the problem of the position of senior female researchers based on the combination of autoethnography and life-cycle studies with empowering policy measures.

This is the first-ever English language anthology of zenithism, an eclectic avant-garde movement unique to the Yugoslav region that existed 1921–1927. Zenithism’s founder Ljubomir Micić envisioned the movement as a fusion of futurism, dada, constructivism, expressionism, and proto-surrealism, driven by what he called the “barbarogenius.” A hallmark of the movement was its embrace of cross-genre writing, from Ljubomir Micić’s ciné-poem Rescue Vehicle and Branko Ve Poljanski’s lyric novel 77 Suicides to MID’s lyric philosophic treatise The Sexual Equilibrium of Money. The zenithists promoted their ideas through their journal Zenit and press Biblioteka Zenit. Reaching American readers for the first time, this anthology sheds light on an untapped chapter in European modernism ideal for the general and academic reader alike.

In the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) from its establishment only days after the German attack on Yugoslavia in early April 1941 until its fall in May 1945 a genocide took place. The ultimate goal of the extreme ideology of the Ustasha regime was a new Croatian state cleansed of other ethnic groups, particularly the Serbs, Jews and Roma. The Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), historically a mainstay of Serbian national identity, culture and tradition, was among its first targets. Most Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries were demolished, heavily damaged or appropriated by the Roman Catholic Church or the state. More than 170 Serbian priests were killed and tortured by the Ustasha, and even more were exiled to occupied Serbia. Kulturno-istorijsko nasleđe često je tokom istorije bilo ugroženo zbog ljudske nepažnje, nestručnosti, vandalizma, požara, prirodnih katastrofa i vanrednih situacija. Navedeni uzroci, a pogotovo požar, mogu uništiti ili nepopravljivo oštetiti jedinstvene zbirke, originalne dokumente i eksponate u roku od nekoliko minuta, uzrokujući ne samo materijalnu štetu, već i gubitke za samo društvo. U radu su dati prikazi nekih od najrazornijih katastrofa, tokom kojih je uništena neprocenjiva istorijsko-kulturološka dokumentacija u arhivima, bibliotekama, galerijama i muzejima širom sveta. Autori su, takođe, predstavili četiri studije slučaja, te naučene lekcije i preporuke na nacionalnom i međunarodnom nivou, koje su od ključne važnosti za zaštitu i prevenciju arhivske građe, materijala, opreme i osoblja u ustanovama kulture.

LESSONS LEARNED ABOUT THE PROTECTION OF ARCHIVE MATERIALS DURING DISASTERS AND EMERGENCIES
Throughout history, cultural and historical heritage has often been threatened by human carelessness, incompetence, vandalism, fires, natural disasters and emergencies. These causes, especially fire, can destroy or irreparably damage unique collections, original documents and exhibits within a few minutes, causing not only material damage but also losses for society itself. The paper describes some of the most devastating disasters, which destroyed invaluable historical and cultural documentation in archives, libraries, galleries and museums worldwide. The authors also presented four case studies, lessons learned and guidelines at the national and international level, which are of key importance for protecting and preventing archival materials, equipment and personnel in cultural institutions.

The school system represents for each country and society one of the most important segments. Because of this, but also a number of other reasons the authorities try to put schools under their control. Through the education of Bosnia and Herzegovina, political, economic, cultural, national and other goals of the ruling political elites were realized. Curricula and curricula eliminated content whose educational goals were in line with the interests of the Austro-Hungarian regime. The ruling elite spread the idea of a "one-tribe nation", striving to create a unique political, economic, educational and cultural space.
