Saat ini Indonesia memasuki peradaban 4.0 yang ditandai dengan bergantungnya masyarakat pada internet atau lebih dikenal sebagai era digital. Periode ini ditandai pula dengan generasi muda yang sangat lekat dengan media sosial. Kelekatan  tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai upaya pelestarian kesenian oleh generasi muda. Generasi muda yang menjadi sasaran dalam kegiatan PPM ini adalah siswa SMPN 1 Rajapolah. Adapun kesenian yang dimaksud dalam kegiatan ini yaitu Seni Lais yaitu kesenian dalam bentuk akrobatik yang mengandalkan kemampuan fisik. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu agar para siswa mengetahui dan dapat melestarikan Seni Lais dengan mempelajari Seni Lais dan memanfaatkan media sosial yang saat ini sangat jarang peminatnya. We previously isolated a mutant of Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain 85_9 whose glycerol assimilation was improved through adaptive laboratory evolution. To investigate the mechanism for this improved glycerol assimilation, genome resequencing of the 85_9 strain was performed, and the mutations in the open reading frame of HOG1, SIR3, SSB2, and KGD2 genes were found. Among these, a frameshift mutation in the HOG1 open reading frame was responsible for the improved glycerol assimilation ability of the 85_9 strain. Moreover, the HOG1 gene disruption improved glycerol assimilation. β-thalassemia is a group of heterogeneous recessive disorders common in many parts of the world. Al-Qatif and Al-Hassa oases in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia are regions known for high frequency of these disorders. Using two molecular methods, based on multiplexing-amplification refractory system and reverse hybridization principles, the spectrum ofβ-thalassemia in the region was studied. Sixty-nine subjects with knownβ-thalassemia disease and volunteers with high hemoglobinA2(HbA2)and low mean corpuscular volume (MCV) were included in this study. International audienceIn the double context of the cultural heritage and of the nuclear waste storage, the long-term corrosion of iron has to be studied. For this purpose, the properties (chemical, physical and electrochemical) of the iron corrosion product layers (CPL) must be determined at different scales from global to the nanometer scale in order to have a complete understanding of the corrosion mechanisms and to model the long-term corrosion. The iron corrosion rate is conditioned by the properties of the corrosion anodic and cathodic reactions. A better understanding of the corrosion mechanisms requires the identification of the limiting steps of these reactions. Lactic acid production by three lactic acid bacteria (LAB) viz. Pediococcus acidilactici, Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus brevis was optimized using whey. Lactic acid production by liquid and solid state fermentation was also studied with different biowastes. P. acidilactici, L. plantarum and L. brevis produced 21.3, 26.5 and 25.4 g/L of lactic acid respectively after 48 h with whey. P. acidilactici produced maximum lactic acid at 32°C, pH 6.5 and yeast extract concentration of 10 g/dm , L. plantarum at 3 32°C, pH 6.0 and yeast extract concentration of 7.5 g/dm and L. brevis at 37°C, pH 5.5 and yeast extract 3 concentration of 7.5 g/dm . Inoculum size of 2 % was optimum for all lactic acid bacteria. The results were 3 validated by employing a central composite design and response surface methodology. Better balance is strongly positively associated with enhanced athletic performance and negatively associated with lower limb sports injuries. Proprioception plays an essential role in balance control, and ankle proprioception is arguably the most important. This paper reviews ankle proprioception and explores synergies with balance control, specifically in a sporting context. Central processing of ankle proprioceptive information, along with other sensory information, enables integration for balance control. When assessing ankle proprioception, the most generalizable findings arise from methods that are ecologically valid, allow proprioceptive signals to be integrated with general vision in the central nervous system, and reflect the signal-in-noise nature of central processing. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre los recursos académicos virtuales y el aprendizaje e-learning en estudiantes de posgrado de Lima. Se trató de un estudio básico, cuantitativo, correlacional y no experimental; contándose con la participación de 105 alumnos de postgrado y aplicándose dos cuestionarios validados para tal fin. Entre los hallazgos fundamentales, se tiene que, del total de estudiantes, un 33.33% presenta un nivel de uso regular de los recursos virtuales, mientras que un 66.7% hace un uso eficiente, pero a pesar de ello se tiene que solo un 51.4% presenta un nivel de aprendizaje e-learning en proceso, y el 46.7% se encuentra como satisfactorio. Bacterial cellulose offers an interesting potential as natural biodegradable alternative to glass and carbon fibers that are currently used in structural composite. In the present paper, bacterial cellulose produced by Gluconacetobacter Xylinus ATCC 23768 was used as reinforcement fiber to develop four new type composites. The composites were prepared using bacterial cellulose sheets and epoxy resin infused at 10, 15, 250 MPa. These materials were composed of 8 layers of BC pressed at 10 MPa, 8 layers of BC pressed at 15 MPa, 8 layers of BC pressed at 250 MPa and 28 layers of BC pressed at 10 MPa. The first three obtained materials were subject to uniaxial tensile tests, while the fourth material was subject to three-point flexural tests. Nigella sativa, also known as black cumin, an annual herbaceous plant growing especially in Mediterranean countries, has recently gained considerable interest not only for its use as spice and condiment but also for its healthy properties of the fixed and essential oil and its potential as a biofuel. Nigella sativa seeds fixed oil, due to its high content in linoleic acid followed by oleic and palmitic acid, could be beneficial to human health. The objective of this study is to determine the optimum conditions for the solvent extraction of Nigella sativa seeds fixed oil using a three-level, three-factor Box-Behnken design (BBD) under response surface methodology (RSM). The obtained experimental data, fitted by a second-order polynomial equation were analysed by Pareto analysis of variance (ANOVA). From a total of 10 coefficients of the statistical model only 5 are important. The obtained experimental values agreed with the predicted ones.

The study was under taken to evaluate the genetic variation in seven mango genotypes, namely, Amrapali, Dushehari, Janardan Pasand, Neelam, Pusa Arunima, Sensation and Tommy Atkins using SSR markers. At first, forty-two microsatellite markers were screened in mango genotypes for getting polymorphic SSR markers then polymorphic SSR markers were utilized for further analysis. Out of 42 primer pairs screened, 13 primer pairs namely LMMA2, LMMA3, LMMA4, LMMA7, LMMA8, LMMA9, LMMA11, LMMA12, LMMA16 and ESTD1, ESTD2, ESTD9 and ESTD10) were found polymorphic and rest of primers got monomorphic status. These 13 polymorphic markers were generated 43 alleles varied from 2 to 5 with an average of 3.30 alleles per locus among the mango genotype tested. The major allele frequency was varied from 0.36 to 0.86 for the locus ESTD9 and LMMA4, respectively. Mean major allele frequency was 0.60 for all the polymorphic loci. Es bien sabido, pero olvidado, que la enfermedad sea fisica o mental es una construccion y no una entidad. Es una ficcion, que no obstante sirve para poder estudiarla, la cual se construye a partir de la agrupacion de signos y sintomas, para conformar las categorias nosologicas, que se compilan en los manuales diagnosticos.

This study compared growth and carcass traits of 2 medium-growth crossbred, 4 slow-growth crossbred, 1 commercial slow-growth and 1 commercial fast-growth broiler strains raised in indoor and free-range production systems. One hundred twenty chicks of each strain were raised in each production system. Chicks were raised in indoor pens at a density of 10 chicks per m2. From day 29 until slaughter at 84 days of age, chicks in the free-range system were given outdoor access through doors that were open between 8.00 - 17.00 hours. The study found live weight, feed efficiency, and mortality were significantly affected by strain. However, no significant differences were found between the production systems. Outdoor access varied significantly among strains, with the commercial high-growth and medium-growth crossbred strains making less use of outdoor areas. Rice stem borer (Scirpophaga sp.) is considered as one of the primary pests causing yield decrease in Indonesia. Genetic engineering is considered as one of the most effective way to improve the resistance of rice plants to yellow stem borer since no resistance gene has been found in rice and its wild relatives. A double T-DNA binary vector p2TDNAcryIAb wich carry two independent T-DNA was used to transform Indonesian elite rice cv Ciherang using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation to generate transgenic rice that free from selectable marker genes. One T-DNA containing a selectable marker hygromycin phosphotransferase (hpt) gene and the other carrying the cry1Ab gene. As many as 37 putative transgenic plants from 14 embryos were generated.
