Ecotourism project development that has been planned by the government certainly requires a land acquisition program. Permasalahan  dalam  penelitian  ini  ialah  peranan  istri  nelayan dalam meningkatkan  kesejahteraan  rumah tangganya,  bentuk atau wujud partisipasi seorang istri nelayan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan rumah tangganya.   Tujuan  penelitian  ini  adalah  untuk  mengetahui  sejauhmana  peranan  istri nelayan   dan  dalam  wujud  apakah   partisipasi   yang  dilakukan   oleh  istri  nelayan dalam  meningkatkan  kesejahteraan  rumah  tangganya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran istri mempunyai peran ganda jadi penambah dan penutup kebutuhan keluarga. Suami merasa terancam dan terganggu akibat istri bekerja untuk menambah pendapatan keluarga berpengaruh terhadap hubungan relasi antara suami dan istri.

The women's presence as regional leaders is one of the strategies for establishing more gender-just policies. Female regional leaders conducted diverse methods to win the votes of their constituents. The communication patterns used are diverse despite having similarities. The research aims to find out and analyze patterns and channels as well as the effects of political communication by female regional leaders in Indonesia. This study used a qualitative approach with three female regional leaders in three Javanese provinces. The research found that women tend to choose communication patterns and channels that used interpersonal communication channels to obtain political information. Academics tend to not pay adequate attention to the student’s civic community, especially around its contribution to the formation of good citizens. Meanwhile, the era continues to evolve and civic student’s civic continues to change by aiming to emphasise its function as a forum for coaching students to acquire or add skills outside the classroom. This research focused on social protests in digital political communication through civic community among students. The method used in this research was qualitative phenomenology. The findings in this study indicated that social protest in digital political communication through the civic community among student has various schemes. Social media, a medium of political communication expression, has a role in providing a place to be active as an individual.

The memoirs and diaries composed by politicians represent an increasingly important form of history. This article provides a comprehensive survey of such writings in Australia. It suggests that they have become more popular, diffuse, confessional, immediate, ambitious, interventionist and cynical over recent decades. The significance of these developments is considered and some tentative explanations advanced.

Dijital siyaset, siyasetçiler için fırsatları ve riskleri birlikte içermekte ve “yeni bir siyaset” anlayışına gönderme yapmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'deki anaakım siyasetin iki temel aktörü olan iktidar (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi) ve ana muhalefet (Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi) partisinin dijital teknolojinin sunduğu olanakların daha demokratik bir toplum yaratılması için kullanılmasına dayanan bu “yeni siyaset” anlayışına yönelik eğilimlerini anlamak amacıyla, özellikle COVID-19 pandemisinin ilk bir yılını kapsayan Mart 2020-Nisan 2021 tarihleri arasındaki Twitter’daki etkileşim örüntüleri ve söylemlerinin merkezindeki temalar analiz edilmiştir. Dijital teknolojinin tabandan yükselen bir demokrasinin gelişmesine ne tür katkılar sağladığını tartışan bu çalışma, dijital siyasal iletişim biçimlerinin geleneksel siyasal iletişim biçimlerinden çok farklı olmadığı, diyaloğa kapalı ve tek yönlü olarak işlediği ve egemen siyaset yapma biçimlerinin eleştirel kamusal tartışmalara alan açmadığı sonucuna ulaşmıştır. In June 2001, more than 50 graduate students and Internet scholars gathered at the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of California, Berkeley, to meet and discuss the state of Internet and society research at the first annual WebShop. Distinguished speakers presented their research and interacted with the students over a 3-week period. This article is a summary of those presentations and a brief analysis of the features of the 2001 WebShop.

Political and diplomatic exchanges are closely intertwined, framing and defining social dynamics and interactions between individuals, institutions, ethnic and political communities. As Simon Barton suggested in his last book, Conquerors, Brides, and Concubines, in medieval Mediterranean contexts, such as the Iberian Peninsula, interfaith liaisons were powerful tools of political and diplomatic negotiation, while also conveying broader cultural meanings. In this chapter, I argue that the rhetoric of emotion and trust functioned in a similarly multi-purposed way to define and shape political and diplomatic exchanges. Focusing on thirteenth-century Iberia, this study examines the centrality of trust in both political and social contexts, and how this unfolded in a variety of communicative acts, including expressing and managing emotions. The case study of James I of Aragon (r. 1213–1276) and his chronicle-autobiography, the Llibre dels fets, helps us reflect upon modes of political and diplomatic communication and how emotional language, gestures and performance were central to promoting and legitimising different types of connections and exchanges beyond geopolitical, linguistic and ethnic frontiers.

The study investigates the factors that inspire Moroccans to engage in both online and offline civic efforts. The inquiry targeted demographics, frequency of Facebook use, the influence of online engagement on participation in real life and the main motivations behind Moroccan civic engagement online. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were adopted to collect and analyze both primary and secondary data. An online survey was administered to (n=277) participants through Facebook targeting the general public of Moroccan Facebook users to collect primary data. Secondary data was collected via semi-structured interviews with (n=3) social activists to provide a comprehensive view of both normal citizens and people who can be considered specialists in the field. En este artículo se analizaron los modos de apropiación tecnológica y las subjetividades que emergieron durante la campaña presidencial colombiana de 2018 en Twitter. Se capturaron los tuits de los cinco (5) principales candidatos de la primera vuelta a través de un web crawler, que dio como resultado 6.487 tuits capturados. Con estos resultados se realizó un análisis de contenido y posteriormente un proceso de etnografía virtual que arrojó categorías de enunciación de la campaña: acuerdos de paz, corrupción, castrochavismo y educación. Se seleccionaron siete (7) tuits con mayor número de interacciones, que sumaron 16 361 comentarios, de los cuales se analizó una muestra de 4.760. Algunos de los resultados versan en que los usuarios se apropiaron de la plataforma compartiendo memes, noticias falsas y hashtags para atacar candidatos, lo que sugiere subjetividades emergentes de trolls o bots en vez de ciudadanos digitales. This research study is used to find out the political communication strategies used in today's media era with the presence of digital media. Mastery of digital media is the latest technology needed in changing society. Social media is becoming a media that is more used by legislative candidates because it has a targeted impact on prospective voters who are desired by political candidates. Communication strategies carried out to successfully communicate politics require several related strategies, either directly or using approaches through social media. This research method uses qualitative approaches and case study methods.

This article introduces and develops the concept of ‘communicative plenty’ to capture the implications of the increasing volume of communication, both online and face-to-face, in contemporary democracies. Drawing on recent systems thinking in deliberative democracy, the article argues that communicative plenty can offer a viable context for large-scale public deliberation provided that: i) the spaces for voice and expression are accompanied by sufficient spaces of reflection and listening; and that ii) collective decisions involve sequencing of first expression, then listening and then reflection. To substantiate this proposal, two cases where conventional democratic practices were modified either formally or informally to promote greater listening and reflection are subjected to close empirical analysis. The article aims to examine the characteristics of mediatized political communication in a hybrid media system, in which the social media accounts of political leaders play an increasingly important role. Firstly, the phenomenon of mediatization and its main aspects in relation to the mass media system are described. Subsequently, the concepts of disintermediation and new forms of mediation specific to social platforms are discussed. The analysis shows that disintermediation does not lead to the end of mediatization, but emphasizes the need to support the mass media logic based on the intertwining of entertainment and a social logic built on online content capable of triggering the creative potential of digital media. En el presente trabajo se investigó la relación entre la prensa argentina y el gobierno nacional durante el período 2005-2006, en relación al ejercicio del Derecho a la Información. A partir de la identificación de mecanismos de censura sutil, empleados por el poder político, se estudió la manera en que se ejerció este derecho al interior de la práctica periodística, desde la perspectiva de los trabajadores de medios. Para ello fueron entrevistados dieciséis periodistas de medios nacionales, quienes señalaron tres principales tipos de presión ejercidas durante el gobierno de Néstor Kirchner: llamados telefónicos para condicionar el tratamiento de algunas informaciones; el control de la información en manos del Estado; y el reparto discrecional de la pauta publicitaria oficial.
