Türk kültürünün ve Türk edebiyatının önemli ürünlerinden biri olan masal
gerek eğitici yönü gerek hoş vakit geçirme aracı olmasıyla birlikte, içerisinde
barındırdığı kültürel unsurlar ve hayal dünyası masalı birçok çalışma konusuna
elverişli hale getirmiştir. Toplumların belleğinden beslenen masal türü, toplumun
zihninden geçen hemen her şeyden etkilenerek varyantlaşmıştır. Bu bağlamda içinde
inanç unsurlarını da barındıran masal, bünyesinde halk inanışlarına ve akabinde
büyüye de yer vermiştir. Masaldaki büyü ve büyüyle ilgili uygulamalar, masal
dünyasına zenginlik katarak masalın birçok işlevine katkı sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada
Anadolu sahasında derlenen masallardaki büyüsel unsurlarının Grimm
Masallarındaki büyüsel unsurlarla benzerlik ve farklılıkları ele alınarak
değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Bu değerlendirmeler sonucunda insan zihninde var olan
tabuların da masallara eklendiği, iki sahadaki unsurlar arasında benzerliklerin olduğu
ve farklılıklarda ise bağlamın önemli bir unsur olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract: They were the military commander Bulan’s exploits that enabled him to concentrate in his hands an incredible amount of power in Khazaria. Thus, the structure of the state administration was radically changed. He also commanded the army in the west of the country, and his role in the construction of several fortresses there was probably very important. The Khazarian runic record on a funeral pot has been decoded; that grave was situated not too far from the Khazar capital in the Volga territory. Now we know exactly where the Khazar military ruler Bulan was buried. Several Khazarian records and one Danube Bulgarian record have been read. The author used the methods of structural and contrastive linguistics.

Аннотация: Победы командующего армией Булана позволили ему сосредоточить в своих руках неимоверную власть в Хазарии. Так была коренным образом изменена структура государственного управления. Он также возглавлял гарнизон на западе страны и, вероятно, участвовал в строительстве нескольких крепостей. Нами успешно расшифрована надпись на сосуде из захоронения, которое находилось не очень далеко от столицы Хазарии в Поволжье. Теперь нам точно известно, где был похоронен хазарский военный правитель Булан. Прочитаны несколько хазарских надписей и одна надпись из Дунайской Болгарии. Автор применил методы структурной и контрастивной лингвистики.

In 1836 the Polish poet Juliusz Słowacki sets on journey from Naples to Holy Land. His passage through Greece has been described in an extended poem-travelog carrying the title „Journey from Naples to Holy Land”. It is a trip to a world of myths known from the school books, through a country that has attracted international attention because of the revolution for national independence. These two elements reveal the nature of characters that appear in the poem: on one hand, heroes of the antiquity, on the boundary between history and mythology; on the other hand, mythicized heroes of the recent events of the revolution. The frequency of appearance is quite high, while Słowacki express his admiration in lyrical verses. However, the most interesting part is that these mythical personalities, ancient or modern, allude to his own homeland, namely partitioned Poland, which Słowacki has abandoned in order to escape persecution. As a result, the poem is full of digressions regarding the political situation of his country as well as his own existential crisis. Therefore, the myths and heroes that Słowacki comes into contact with in Greece become nothing less that a starting point for inner dialog and political discourse with literary means.

Le rôle du jeu dans la structuration des Cultures Je commencerai, comme tout le monde, par des pionniers et des classiques : Arnold Van Gennep, un peu inattendu ici, Johan Huizinga et Roger Caillois. Dans ses géniales intuitions, Johan Huizinga avait bien pressenti, sans jamais arriver à le formuler radicalement, que le jeu est issu du mécanisme « sacré » fondateur de toute Culture. René Girard l'a fait. Je le résume ici avec mes mots : le jeu, qui est un rite, est un « replay » symbolique, à caractère prophylactique, du sacrifice du bouc émissaire, fondateur de toute Culture. Il vous faudra un peu de patience et un peu de bienveillance pour me donner le temps de définir tous ces concepts, de les articuler dans un raisonnement, et enfin de vous proposer une synthèse qui n'est, comme c'est le cas pour toute recherche, qu'une étape provisoire sur le long chemin de la découverte de notre condition humaine de « singe raté ». A medieval legend had dragons with healing powers living on the mountain. A chronicle from 1619 reads: 'as I was contemplating the serene sky by night, I saw a very bright dragon with flapping wings go from a cave in a great rock in the mount called Pilatus toward another cave, known as Flue, on the opposite side of the lake'. This legend was the inspiration for Steven Reineke's famous concert band piece, Pilatus: Mountain of Dragons.

A few different local legends about the origin of the name exist. One claims that Pilatus was named so because Pontius Pilate was buried there.[citation needed] However, a similar legend is told of Monte Vettore in Italy. Another is that the mountain looks like the belly of a large man, Pilate, lying on his back and was thus named for him.
The name may also be derived from "pileatus," meaning "cloud-topped."

This contribution discusses the agricultural units defined as gardens (giš-kiri 6 or giš-nu-kiri 6) in the archive of Palace G at Ebla. Here, gardens can be understood as consisting of fruit tree groves, although the available documentation does not offer many hints at the kinds of crops cultivated in these plots. Indeed, most evidence rather concerns the relevant workers, among which can be distinguished proper "gardeners" (giš-nu-kiri 6), that is, adult male skilled workers; "apprentice gardeners" (dumu-nita giš-nu-kiri 6), who could be the sons of gardeners; and, sporadically, also women (dam). Individuals from both foreign and local centers are classified as gardeners. Indeed, garden produce was not simply conceived as foodstuffs for consumption, but also as delicacies employed within diplomacy between states.
