Purpose For the prevention and cure of disease, patient use various types of chemical and drug agents. Along with their curative effect, almost all drugs have some destructive effects and side-effects. Due to the minimal and/or none of unwanted side-effect, recently, the use of herbal remedy as the drug of choice becomes the preference choice. The mangosteen, Garcinia mangostana, contains various types of polyphenols. It has been used as a traditional medicine from the ancient times till present days. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the biological properties of mangosteen in relation to health promotion effects. Penanaman nili-nilai karakter pada generasi anak Indonesia harus dilakukan sedini mungkin karena pendidikan karakter dapat membangun kepribadian anak di masa depan. Salah satu upaya penanaman nilai-nilai karakter pada anak sekolah dasar dapat dilakukan melalui internalisasi lagu-lagu anak. Lagu yang diteliti adalah lagu anak karya A.T Mahmud. Research shows that culturally diverse students are often disengaged in multicultural classrooms. To address this challenge, literatures on self-regulated learning (SRL) and culturally responsive teaching (CRT) both document practices that foster engagement, although from different perspectives. This study examined how classroom teachers at schools that enrol students from diverse cultural communities on the West Coast of Canada built on a Culturally Responsive Self-Regulated Learning Framework to design complex tasks that integrated SRL pedagogical practices (SLPPs) and culturally-responsive pedagogical practices (CRPPs) to support student engagement. Knowledge and autonomy are key aspects of informed choice; it is important to define what is important for participants to understand, when accepting or declining screening and for individuals to understand that screening is optional and their own personal choice There are no agreed thresholds or minimum standards for the knowledge an individual is required to have to make an ‘informed’ choice. It is time that minimum agreed standards are developed for practitioners who provide genetic information. There is no standard for evaluating good knowledge or informed choice in population reproductive genetic screening, however measuring people’s choices is a good indicator of informed choice. Informed choice in a multicultural world will be explored and an overview of the different levels of informed choice, practiced in the pathway from genetic screening to identifying at risk couples discussed.

Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa dengan menerapkan Model Siklus Belajar Tri Pramana pada pembelajaran IPA. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa di kelas VIII G pada semester I tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 di SMP Negeri 2 Sidemen. Sedangkan objeknya aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa. Data yang diperoleh adalah data kuantitatif  berupa prestasi belajar yang dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes dan data aktivitas siswa yang dikumpulkan dengan instrumen lembar observasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari pelaksanaan penelitian rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 71,90% dengan kategori baik meningkat menjadi 77,36% di siklus II juga dengan kategori baik. Prestasi belajar  mengalami peningkatan dari data awal dengan rata-rata 63, pada siklus I menjadi 72,30 dan  pada siklus II  menjadi 76,46. Priseljevanje je tako v Sloveniji in na Nizozemskem kot drugod po svetu še vedno ena najbolj aktualnih tem, saj številne države pričajo o naraščanju števila priseljencev. Pojem migracij združuje dva pojma, in sicer emigracije (izseljevanje) in imigracije (priseljevanje). Emigracije predstavljajo gibanje ljudi iz njihove izvorne družbe, izseljevanje, beg v tujo družbo, medtem ko imigracije pomenijo trajni prihod, priselitev in vselitev v imigrantsko družbo (Klinar, 1976, str. 16). Večinoma so v strokovnih literaturah migracije prikazane kot nek pozitiven proces, čeprav večina ljudi v določenih državah na ljudi migrante ne gleda tako. Večino državljanov držav, v katere se migranti zatečejo, skrbi, da le-ti ogrožajo njihova delovna mesta, da vplivajo na zmanjševanje plač. Elk monument in de openbare ruimte - een standbeeld of gevelsteen - is een knooppunt van verhalen die soms schuren. Elk monument heeft een biografie, een geschiedenis van levensfasen: van oprichten, onthullen, vereren en herdenken tot protesteren en verdedigen. In deze lezing staan de hoofdvraag en de belangrijkste bevindingen van het KNAW-adviesrapport over omstreden monumenten in de openbare ruimte centraal. Verder worden aanbevelingen gepresenteerd. Het rapport heeft zich gericht op twee onderzoeksterreinen: • koloniaal verleden van Nederland, inclusief slavernij; • oorlogen en genociden in de 20 e eeuw waar Nederland bij betrokken is geweest.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana budaya “Mapalus” dalam peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan di Desa Watumaeta Kecamatan Lore Utara Kabupaten Poso. This article is a linguistic landscape study carried out on the Indonesian
border with Timor Leste. The aim is to reveal the language display, forms, and
phenomena of changes in the linguistic landscape in the Indonesian border area.
This is a descriptive-qualitative study that is intended to describe and analyze data
in great detail and depth. The methods used in collecting data are observation and
documentation. The results show that there are eight languages in public spaces
namely Indonesian, English, Tetun, Dawan, Kupang Malay, Kemak, Arabic, and
Portuguese. Language displayed in public spaces takes the form of monolingual,
bilingual, and multilingual. The sociolinguistic change will depend greatly on the
influence of social, political, and economic aspects but the chances are very small.
Similar linguistic backgrounds, culture, and kinship relations with those in the border
area of Timor Leste are the main reasons why the Indonesian language dominates
compared to the official language of Timor Leste. Meanwhile, the existence of local
languages needs serious attention. All of this requires government intervention in
terms of language policy to maintain the existence of regional languages as the
identity of local communities.
