Đorđe Radić (1839-1922) je poznat kao prvi srpski doktor agronomskih nauka, mada on nije samo u tome čelni agronom Srbije, pa je to uzeto za opštu temu članka, sa posebnim osvrtom na oplemenjivanje i semenarstvo kulturnih biljaka. Radić je bio utemeljivač srpske agronauke, osnivač prvih poljoprivrednih škola, pisac kompleksne knjiške i časopisne literature, u koje je uveo crtež i kolor. Autor je prvih monografija o gajenju najvažnijih kulturnih biljaka i živine, suosnivač i čelnik srpskog Društva za poljsku privredu (DPP), njegov sekretar i urednik glasila, zatim prvi agro-prosvetitelj i agroistoričar, prvi citiran u svetskoj literaturi. Abstract: This study is designed to analyse the content of thematically integrated textbook for students at fourth-grade primary schools with character building and scientific approach. The study is descriptive qualitative study. The result of the study showed that generally, the materials within the book have been developed in accordance with character building and thematic approach. However, there was some discordance within the thematic textbook that were suggested by the government, especially in character building and scientific approach aspects. In summary, the textbook for students at fourth-grade primary school which is published by the Ministry of Education and Culture does not fully contain character building and scientific approach. A nation's participation in war involves more or less assumed risks, and the interplay of all the mechanisms involved in the logistics of war can never be known in advance. This study argues that, following the principle of causality, the war literature centred on the major military conflict of the early twentieth century eloquently seconds history in its presentation of events. Revisiting one of history's eternally contested dilemmas of the human perspective on an approaching war, the genre literature reinforces the idea that the 'diagnosis' is often wrong and far too optimistic. Novels by Romanian writers of the interwar period present the tragic exodus to Moldova as an artistic replica of an event that is strikingly similar to the simplified presentation of historical fact. The idea that emerges from the fictional framework of these novels is that the exit from neutrality, although animated by the best intentions, has a high degree of dangerousness, and its repercussions are only the predictable consequence of a reality that is deliberately ignored. However, literature does not limit itself to justifying this error of perspective and its results-the unreasonable enthusiasm of the public, the weaknesses of the political class, the ignorance of one's own capacity for struggle-but, through its obsession with making the spasms and nebulousness of history accessible, seeks to clarify the disturbances of perception and orientation and, ultimately, to make human existence more coherent, more tolerable and less overwhelming. What is certain is that Romania's military intervention in the First World War, a crucial event in national history, was made at the cost of immense sacrifices, and fiction encapsulates in words what history enshrines in eternity through blood. The image of an entire nation taking refuge has aroused great interest among novelists, and their artistic contribution on this thematic segment illustrates the interdependence of history and literature, not only by presenting events chronologically, but above all by facilitating an understanding of a frightening historical reality and the sinister energies unleashed with the outbreak of the Great War.

Κατά τον Β΄ Πάγκόσμιο πόλεμο ο ελληνικός λαός υπέστη τρομακτικές απώλειες σε έμψυχο δυναμικό και σε υλικό κεφάλαιο. Εξοντώθηκαν μεγάλος αριθμός αμάχων και ακόμη περισσότεροι μάχιμοι άνδρες σε παραγωγική ηλικία. Καταστράφηκαν επίσης σε δύσκολα αντικαταστάσιμο ποσοστό σπίτια με όλο τον δυσαναπλήρωτο εξοπλισμό τους και τους αποθηκευτικούς τους χώρους καθώς και δημόσια κτίρια και άλλες υποδομές. Επιβλήθηκαν επίσης κατασχέσεις τροφίμων σε μεγάλη έκταση. Osnovni cilj zaključne seminarske naloge je preučiti preobrazbo industrijskih con Količevo in Preserje pri Radomljah, ki sta v občini Domžale. V prvem delu naloge sta predstavljena zgodovina in razvoj obeh industrijskih con. Zanimalo nas je, kako so se pomembne tovarne razvijale čez celotno 20. stoletje in zakaj je prišlo do njihovega propada oziroma zakaj so se uspele obdržati in še vedno uspešno poslujejo. Podjetji LIP Radomlje in Induplati se nista uspeli prilagoditi, zato je njuna proizvodnja upadala vse dokler podjetji nista propadli ali znižali svoje proizvodnje na minimum. V njune prostore so se naselila nova in manjša podjetja. Podatke o manjših podjetjih smo dobili s pomočjo terenskega dela in anket. Na podlagi teh podatkov smo podrobno analizirali današnje stanje. The most important cultural establishment in Slovakia, the Slovak National Theatre (SNT),was founded in 1920. The beginnings of this institution were extremely complicated because itsactivities were not managed by the state, but by a private company called the Cooperative of theSlovak National Theatre. This joint company was founded in 1919 and consisted of representativesof the then governing bodies, the Slovak intelligentsia, and representatives of banks and otherassociations. In the first two seasons, the Cooperative was dealing with operation issues, mostly withobtaining the financial resources needed. This article contributes to the understanding of the creation of the Camden district. It is now hard to imagine now, but in days gone by, the township of Camden was the centre of a large district. The Camden district became the centre of people’s daily lives for over a century and the basis of their sense of place and community identity. The Camden district was a concept created by the links between peoples’ social, economic and cultural lives across the area. All are joined together by a shared cultural identity and cultural heritage based on common traditions, commemorations, celebrations and rituals. These were reinforced by personal contact and family kinship networks. The geographers would call this a functional region.

This article has two goals. The first is to document fully the recurrent English place-name Wirral and a number of similar ones which can be shown, in some cases definitely, in others probably or possibly, to have the same origin, as well as others which appear to have the same first element. The second is to re-interrogate the widely accepted meaning of the Old English word wīr which is, beyond reasonable doubt, the first element of the name, because the grounds for the general belief that it denotes the shrub known as bog myrtle or sweet gale (Myrica gale) have not yet been properly explored

The article investigates the specific of the first lecture of the famous Ukrainian
film director, screenplay writer, cinema teacher Oleksandr P. Dovzhenko (September 11,
1894, vil. Sosnica, Chernihiv region, Ukraine — November 25, 1956, vil. Peredelkino,
Moscow region, Russia) at the Kyiv State Institute of Cinematography. Author
established the fact of inviting the film director to teach a group of students of the film
institute; reconstructed his first lecture at the Kyiv State Institute of Cinematography;
discovered the possibility of finding a transcript of the first lecture by O. Dovzhenko in
the Kyiv State Institute of Cinematography in the main Ukrainian and Russian archives
