Nos primórdios dos balneários no Rio Grande do Sul, encontravam-se alguns imigrantes alemães, não apenas entre os banhistas, mas também entre os empresários do incipiente ramo do curismo-turismo. Era um grupo pequeno de imigrantes de origem urbana que, em geral, já conhecia as vantagens curativas ou revigorantes dos banhos em balneários europeus. Entre eles destacavam-se os médicos, importantes emissores de um discurso científico em prol dos balneários. As práticas terapêuticas de banhos de mar chegaram ao Brasil meridional pela imigração européia da segunda metade do século XIX, embora sua difusão só tenha ocorrido na primeira metade do século seguinte, quando se desenvolveram as primeiras praias balneárias no Rio Grande do Sul.

Since the beginning of the year, the Legislature of Puerto Rico has submitted several projects of law (above 15) to improve the quality of the public education system. These projects are not focused on benefiting students, and are far from being strategies to transform the public education system. They are temporary solutions that even compete with the services provided by the public education system. This column presents some of these projects and why they have an insignificant impact in the improvement of the public education system. The intention is to create awareness in the society about the urgency to mobilize society and demand for the establishment of a commission represented by the government and all sectors of society

İnsanoğlu yaratıldığı ilk günden itibaren hayatta kalabilmek, çevresini ve doğayı tanıyabilmek için aklını kullanmıştır. Bu aklını kullanış insanoğluna birçok alanda bilgi ve beceri kazandırmada oldukça önemli bir katkı sağlamıştır. Günümüz insanoğlunun aklı sayesinde kazandığı bu yetenekleri elde etmesinde Hendese’nin (Geometri) oldukça önemli bir yeri vardır. Bu yüzden matematik biliminin dolayısıyla Hendese’nin (Geometri) ilk esin kaynağı hiç şüphesiz insan ve onun tanımaya, hükmetmeye çalıştığı çevresidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı eğitimimizi ve eğitim kurumlarını modernleştirmeye başladığımız 19. yüzyıldan günümüze kadar insanlık tarihi için oldukça önemli bir yeri olan Hendese (Geometri) dersinin; ders saati, içerik ve kazanım bakımından geçirdiği gelişimi incelemektir. El Centro de Estudios Históricos y la Escuela de Historia y Geografía de la Universidad Bernardo O’Higgins convocan a investigadores e investigadoras a participar en las XIV Jornadas de Estudios Coloniales y Modernos a realizarse en la ciudad de Santiago, Chile, entre los días 5 y 9 de agosto de 2024 en modalidad presencial.
A continuación, publicamos la lista de mesas aceptadas y sus coordinadores respectivos. Cada mesa contará con dos coordinadores y 10 ponencias como máximo. Una persona solo puede coordinar una mesa. Del mismo modo, solo podrá presentar una ponencia. De lo contrario, a los organizadores se nos haría difícil elaborar el cronograma final, compaginando los tiempos de todas y todos.

Ovaj rad istražuje ideju ukidanja domaćih zadaća kao mjere za postizanje jednakih prava za svu djecu u oblasti obrazovanja. Dublje analizira povijesni kontekst domaćih zadaća, postojeće disparitete u pristupu obrazovnim resursima i potencijalne koristi koje proizlaze iz uklanjanja tradicionalnih domaćih zadaća. Kroz detaljnu analizu, jasno je da bi ovaj prijedlog mogao odigrati ključnu ulogu u promicanju jednakosti i poboljšanju sveukupnog kvaliteta obrazovanja. Domaće zadaće već dugo vremena predstavljaju standardnu praksu u obrazovnom sustavu. Međutim, u posljednjih nekoliko godina sve se više vodi rasprava o njihovim prednostima, posebno u vezi s njihovim utjecajem na prava učenika na jednaku edukaciju. Ovaj rad raspravlja o opravdanju ukidanja domaćih zadaća kao sredstva za izjednačavanje obrazovnog terena.

Az oktatási reformok metaelemzései és a gazdasági folyamatok fontos szempontokat adnak a vizsgálathoz – a TTF hazai elterjedésének és nyugati diadalútjának kezdete egybeesik az Új Gazdasági Mechanizmus megindításával.

The Securitate acted in the Western countries, through actions of a terrorist nature, conducted directly or through intermediaries, the targets being represented by the main opponents of the communist regime in Bucharest. The long arm of communism could reach each and every troublesome refugee. One form of action was that of attracting world-renowned personalities back to their country. Associating with them and the publicity they hoped to gain in this way could represent an image blow to the communist power. The present work presents such concrete operations: Traian Vuia, George Constantinesco and Henri Coanda. Paradoxically, none of the decision-makers and executors of these actions was held accountable by the Romanian state, which thus assumed the guilt for those crimes even after the fall of communism.

In this paper, we have taken up the recent line of investigation into eco- pedagogy, refusing reductionist approaches and perspectives that consider the natural environment as a mere element, object or tool that is disconnected from the everyday lives of most people. The aim of the paper is to conduct an analysis of the teaching dimensions regarding environmental education with a wide-ranging ecological perspective. In particular, the text examines the body and corporeity as the basic elements of the experience, knowledge, and development of behaviors oriented in an ecological sense within the teacher-student relationship and the school context.

The present investigation had as reference the study of the Waldorf Pedagogy in Initial Education of the Educational Unit "Luis Enrique Raza Bolanos", located in the canton Quito, province of Pichincha in the year 2016-2017, the same one had the objective to determine the incidence Of this pedagogy in the infantile education, through the application of investigative techniques to determine the degree of knowledge of the actors that form parts of the establishment; In addition a diagnosis of the results obtained was made through the elaboration of conclusions and recommendations; To fulfill this task, we investigated and compiled information and articles inherent to the mentioned methodology to analyze the origins, main characteristics and applications. This issue of History and Memory highlights the ongoing, at times heated, debates regarding the central role that race, racism and migration play in the history, nature and fate of a number of contemporary societies. Indeed, few topics are as volatile today as those related to race, belonging and citizenship. In light of these discussions, the different articles in this issue regarding the history of slavery in the United States, efforts to desegregate the US army, the American Legion's aspirations to shape historical education, and the memory of slavery and migration in the United Kingdom will be of interest not only to students and scholars of historical memory but also to researchers of race and racism, as well as those working on ethnicity and migration.

RESUMO Neste estudo abordaremos as representações sobre o ensino da ginástica a partir do livro Gymnastica nas aulas, publicado em 1895, de autoria de Manoel Baragiola. Ele era o professor responsável pelas aulas de Gymnastica e Exercícios Militares na Escola Normal de São Paulo e buscava seu protagonismo na organização de um modelo para as aulas mediante o debate dos métodos ginásticos no país e no exterior. Este artigo, além da análise da parte teórica do manual, baseou-se em um corpo documental formado por jornais, periódicos, atas de reunião da Escola Normal e relatórios de direção para considerar que o processo de racionalização da ginástica na cidade de São Paulo ocorreu mediante muitas referências em histórias conectadas entre sujeitos e produções textuais que tematizavam as práticas de exercícios físicos que circulavam principalmente na Itália e no Brasil.

Resumo Neste estudo, foram evidenciados discursos e práticas pedagógicas centrados na questão da saúde no contexto da Escola Nicarágua, especificamente no que diz respeito à higiene e à educação física na Semana de Educação da Associação Brasileira de Educação (ABE) de 1928. Para isso, em uma microanálise, analisamos a organização de um caderno pedagógico produzido na Escola Nicarágua, situada no subúrbio da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, sobre o tema da saúde. Desse modo, objetivamos compreender como as representações sobre educação higiênica e educação física eram apropriadas pelos agentes sociais presentes na escola, em conexão com os objetivos de uma educação saudável defendida pela ABE. Por meio das fontes, considerou-se que os estudantes da Escola Nicarágua, a despeito dos anseios dos intelectuais e das suas condições de vida, a partir das suas práticas, souberam expressar o que era eleito como modelo na escola.
