The millipede tribe Tonkinosomatini Jeekel, 1968 is reviewed based on literature and fresh material. This tribe comprises two genera: Sellanucheza Enghoff et al., 2004 and Tonkinosoma Jeekel, 1953, including 6 species distributed in southern China and northern Vietnam. Among them, two new species are described from Vietnam, Sellanucheza hoffmani, sp. n., and Tonkinosoma jeekeli, sp. n. A key to all species of Tonkinosomatini and a map of their distribution are also provided for Vietnam fauna

Resumo Ainda que a articulação entre corpo, saúde e contexto político-econômico seja extremamente complexa e mediada por processos heterogêneos, é possível problematizar o discurso produzido pela mídia sobre corpo e saúde. Este estudo teve por objetivo apresentar algumas reflexões sobre os discursos e práticas contemporâneos acerca da saúde, com enfoque nos aspectos corporais e na relação entre estética corporal e bem-estar do indivíduo. A linha argumentativa desenvolvida preconiza que, na rede discursiva que se propaga pelas grandes mídias, cria-se uma concepção de saúde intimamente atrelada ao mercado de consumo. While philosophical hermeneutics has often been criticized for not engaging issues concerning the body and human finitude, Gadamer’s ‘Defense of Pain’ in his final public academic appearance is an underappreciated hermeneutic contribution to the way in which we experience and respond to the physical and existential demands of pain. In light of his criticism, that the modern medical community is occupied with the utter eradication of pain, Gadamer is concerned with the consequences of such a sensibility which does not appear to focus on developing and fostering the patients’ own capacities and participation in the process of their own convalescence. For Gadamer, the patients’ active participation in the recovery ( verwinden ) from pain is an opportunity to experience the joys of recovery and to engage in their own vibrant rhythm of health. A powerful argument against the resurrection of the body is based on the premise that all resurrection theories violate natural laws. We counter this argument by developing a fully naturalistic resurrection theory. We refer to it as the revision theory of resurrection (RTR). Since Hick's replica theory is already highly naturalistic, we use Hick's theory as the basis for the RTR. According to Hick, resurrection is the recreation of an earthly body in another universe. The recreation is a resurrection counterpart. We show that the New Testament supports the idea of resurrection counterparts. The RTR asserts that you are a node in a branching tree of increasingly perfect resurrection counterparts. These ever better counterparts live in increasingly perfect resurrection universes. We give both theological arguments and an empirical argument for the RTR.

A partir de uma investigacao sobre psicossomatica e de uma revisao das principais teorias sobre o tema, propomos neste artigo (re) visitar os textos de Freud e de Lacan, utilizando tambem textos de outros psicanalistas. Pretendemos com isso circunscrever o funcionamento conceitual das teorias inspiradas nos modelos freudiano e lacaniano sobre psicossomatica, visando articula-las as ultimas elaboracoes de Lacan sobre o tema, apresentadas na Conferencia de Genebra (1975), onde assinala que o fenomeno psicossomatico e da ordem da escrita no corpo. Bodies of Resistance is a collection of ten essays on embodiment and its various forms of resistance to disciplinary regimes, plus a lengthy introduction by the editor, Laura Doyle. The essays are paired and divided into five sections, each with its own brief introduction, which tends to make the book seem more like a patchwork than a unified whole; nevertheless, Doyle insists on its cohesion. Most of the ten authors, she says, are engaged in what she calls “postmodern phenomenology” (xiii). The aim of this article is to demonstrate how body-representations offer an opportunity for its visual interpretation from a biographical point of view, enhancing, on the one hand, the image’s own narrative dynamics, and, on the other, the role of the body as a place of incorporation of experiences, as well as, a vehicle mediating the individual interaction with the world. Perspective founded in the works of the artists Helena Almeida and Jorge Molder, who use self-representation as an expression of these incorporated (lived) experiences, constitutes an important discursive construction and structuring of their narrative identity through visual creation, the artists enable the other with moments of sharing knowledge, creativity and subjectivity, contributing also to the construction of the contemporary, cultural and social imagery.

The objective of this study was to map referral patterns in patients with synchronous colorectal liver metastases (SCLM) and to investigate if type, volume and location of the hospital of diagnosis are associated with whether or not patients underwent liver resection. This population-based study includes all patients diagnosed with SCLM between 2008 and 2012, based on the Netherlands Cancer Registry. To study inter-hospital variation, the proportion of patients undergoing liver surgery was calculated per hospital of diagnosis. Multivariable multilevel logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the association between hospital characteristics and liver resection. Of 10,520 patients with SCLM, 12% (n = 1259) underwent liver surgery. Of these patients, 58% (n = 733) were referred to another hospital to undergo liver surgery. Le mouvement de retheâtralisation permit au theâtre du modernisme et des avant-gardes de s’emanciper du drame et du parler sur scene afin de devenir un art a part entiere. A cette fin, les modernistes et les avant-gardistes se focaliserent sur les modes d’expression propres au theâtre depuis ses origines : la scene et l’acteur. Patronage as dominant social system in the Roman world during the New Testament era Patronage was one of the most important forms of social exchange in the Roman world during the Republic as well as in Imperium Romanum. It functioned as a pervasive, voluntary form of interaction between socially disproportionate individuals and groups involved in a reciprocal exchange of material goods and services. This essay presents an overview of the nature of the various forms of interaction between patrons and their clients in the Roman world, such as that between former masters and their freedmen; the Emperor and the populus Romanus; brokers as mediators of imperial benefits to their clients; and the functions of patrons in the Roman collegia. Finally, the implications of this assessment of patronage in the Roman world for our understanding of the New Testament is discussed briefly.
